The first thing you notice when you walk into the 2008 model Bear Lake 6 from Outwell is the smell of the cotton and PVC, for many it stirs memories of camping trips in years gone by. It is fantastic to see a modern design embracing traditional fabrics as the cotton has unique properties making it both waterproof and highly breathable. Inside it's cool when it's hot and warm when it's cold and there's a noticeable difference between the polyester fabrics used in most other tents.
The frame construction is lightweight alloy, all the upright poles are the same size to make pitching quick and easy and the PVC groundsheet simply zips in/out and once in place creates a sealed and cosy environment. There are two separate bedrooms sleeping four and two, either of which can be left out if more internal space is desired.
There are three main doors to the large living area and the side doors can be used as a canopy with the upright poles supplied, they can also be used with just a mesh panel in place to help create a bug free environment. There is ample light in the main living area and all the windows have matching cotton curtains. The removable porch can provide handy shade and simply zips into place.
The Bear Lake 6 has caught the imagination of many, customers who walk inside can't fail to be impressed and even choose to upgrade their tent when they had no thought of this before.
