The
Arran / Kvarts has the same features as the Vagge / Kvarts Light, the key difference is the outer
fabric which is made from Cotpol T4, a mix of cotton and polyester.
Although this
fabric is more costly it does have some key advantages. Because it is able to
breathe it will help minimise condensation on the inside of the tent and its
cotton content will create a more balanced environment in hot or cold
conditions than the synthetic options.
Choosing this fabric option and the use
of the optional tent floor may negate the need to use an inner tent, helping to
keep the cost lower.
Cotpol T4 is considerably heavier than the ripstop polyamide
used on the Vagge / Kvarts Light, and is not intended for carrying too far. It has high ultra
violet protection and will need fabric re-treatment every few years depending
on the amount of use.
