The Genesis Superdry is a robust, heavy-duty half-rope for alpine and icefall climbing.
Wet ropes are more difficult to handle. If they freeze their dynamic performance is drastically reduced. Impregnated ropes are an additional safety factor for alpinists, especially on ice, mixed ground and in winter. Whereas in conventional ropes it is usually only the sheath fibres that are dry-treated, Mammut ropes are dry-treated throughout the core and sheath, i.e. the whole rope is impregnated. This Superdry treatment ensures a more effective and durable impregnation of the rope, while improving handling, resistance to friction and dirt, and durability.
